Every year, HHS issues notices for key benefit & payment parameters related to ACA-compliant health plans for the upcoming year. On May 5, 2021, the remaining parameters for 2022 were finalized:
- ACA’s Max OOP limit increases to $8,700 and $17,400 for single and family plans, respectively.
- Contribution percentage for catastrophic coverage eligibility decreased to 8.09% from 8.27%.
- An additional special enrollment period (SEP) for enrollees who lost premium tax credit eligibility or who were unaware of an SEP triggering event.
